BREAKING: George Burgess is expected to be charged to the full extent of the law after his eye-popping infraction last night.

Known by the judiciary as “treating them like a Raider” it’s expected that Burgess will get a similar ban for his second eye-gouging offence in a year to what rookie Hudson Young got for his first.

“Yeah look it’s not good” a spokesmen for the judiciary said. “George is a good kid and means well but we think he’s going to have to get the Raiders treatment on this one.

Rumours from @tim_darke that Burgess would use the famed “I’m Josh McGuire” defence have been scuppered.

“It’s a shame. If only he was available for Origin we’d be able to get him off. Multiple times.”

Raiders rookie Hudson Young was approached for comment but he was muttering a lot so we backed away slowly.
