The Canberra Raiders have expressed grateful shock and amazement the latest NRL hype video wasn’t just a replay of every try scored against them in recent years.

“Normally the NRL’s hype videos are just replays of our worst moments from the previous season, so it was a nice shock to be left out altogether from this one” said CEO Don Furner. “And when you combine that with the NRL’s offseason, well, it was just a nice gift from Todd to not be associated with the competition.”
“I’ve written to the NRL to ask them to leave us out of all of their hype videos from now on.”
The video was released to celebrate the upcoming season, highlighting such noteworthy moments as the clash between likely bottom four sides Parramatta and West Tigers in round six, and the burgeoning career of mediocre half Lachlan Lewis.
“When you put us up against huge draws like that, you can understand why the NRL prefers to pretend there is no rugby league side in Canberra.”
When asked if he thought one of the best attacking sides in the competition might have highlights worth celebrating, Furner replied “well yeah, but we’re not the Sydney Raiders are we?”
